Ranelagh Gaels Medals Presentation
By Peter Sweeney on Nov 30, 2009 in Division 9, News
RANELAGH Gaels celebrated in style last Friday at their medals presentation night at Smyth’s Pub.
Medals were handed out to the 30-odd players who helped secure the Dublin AFL Division 9 title for the Gaels, by far the most prestigious prize so far secured by this young club.
A special cup, kindly sponsored by Smyth’s Pub, was also presented to victorious captain Brian Regan.
There was a great turn out from players, officials and wider members of the Ranelagh community and it is hoped that this will just be the first of many such nights for the club.

Well done again lads, keep up the good work for the 2010 season

Independent Ajudicator, the key to meaning is in the hyphen use. In ’30-odd’ the hyphen makes it a phrase, implying 30-or-so players (as you know with the Gaels, numbers are always a bit sketchy). Hope that clarifies.
