Ranelagh Gaels ladies took part in the All Ireland Sevens tournament hosted by the Naomh Mearnog and Slyvester clubs in North County Dublin yesterday. 90 teams from all over Ireland, and indeed further a field, took part in a great day’s football in the September sunshine.

Red-faced Peter Sweeney last night broke his silence on his dramatic late howler against Erin Go Bragh at the weekend. On Saturday day night the horrified hack failed to make contact with a simple effort in front of goal, when an easy tap-in would have won the game against the Division 8 pace-setters.
