Season 2104 Starts Here

Ranelagh Gaels’ 2014 season gets underway this weekend with both men’s and ladies team in action.

On Sunday Liam O’Hagan’s lads have to travel into the North County to take on Ballyboughal in the first game of a long, 15-game AFL Division 8 campaign, which isn’t due to finish until the end of September. The game throws in at 11.0.

Preparations have gone well since pre-season training began in the first week of January and a number of challenge games over the past few weeks mean that hopes of a good season are high.

The ladies team, who were unlucky losers in last year’s Junior D Championship final, will take part in the three-game pre-season competition hosted by Stars of Erin at their Glencullen home.

They play Naomh Olaf this Saturday at 4.0, seven days later Enniskerry are the opposition (throw-in 4.0) and on Saturday, March 1 they take on hosts Stars of Erin, also at 4.0

A full list of the ladies team’s competitive fixtures will be posted on the Results & Fixtures page as soon as they are finalised.
