Hurling History Makers

Ranelagh Gaels created another little piece of history when the club played its first ever hurling game at the weekend.

On Saturday in Dartry Park, the new home of underage GAA in Dublin 6, two Gaels Under-8 hurling teams took on St Patrick’s.

Ranelagh has been fielding football teams since 2003, starting with mens and adding ladies in 2009.

The Ranelagh Gaels Juvenile Academy started in late 2012 with official underage games starting the following year.

Now the club can boast a young hurling team too. Thanks to everyone over the years who played their part and helped make this historic day happen.
