D is for Disappointment in Championship final

There was disappointment for Ranelagh Gaels in the Dublin Junior D Championship final, when our ladies footballer came up just short.

The Gaels lost by 3-11 to 3-8 against a strong Ballyboughal side at Fingallian’s GAA Club in Swords.

At one stage Ranelagh trailed by 11 points, but they never gave up and should be extremely proud of the way they got themselves back into this game and ensured it was a thrilling contest right up to the last kick.

Thanks to everyone involved – including manager Shane Minihane, all the players and the brilliant support that came along on the night – for a brilliant season.

Thanks also to Dublin LGFA for such a well run evening, Fingallians for providing the venue, TriBeCa for their continued support of Ranelagh Gaels’ ladies footballers and New Ireland for sponsoring the competition.

Beidh lá eile againn!
