Peil Óg Comes to Ranelagh Gaels

Ranelagh Gaels and Dublin LGFA are delighted to announce that Peil Óg is coming to the club – starting on Thursday, May 17 at Herbert Park.

Peil Óg is a special football training  programme aimed at girls aged between eight-and-13 years old. Sessions will run between 6.45pm and 8.0pm weekly.

Girls of all abilities are encouraged to take part – even if they have never played football before – and you don’t have to be a member of Ranelagh Gaels to join in either. Just come along!

Each training session will cost €3 per child and will run for six weeks. The programme is being run by Dublin LGFA and will feature coaching from members of Dublin’s 2017 All-Ireland-winning team. You can pre-register here and be entered into a draw to win an signed Dublin jersey.

Our own coaches will be involved too so we look forward to seeing a great turnout of girls who want to play football! The idea is to get more girls involved in the game and keep them playing through their teenage years.

If you have any queries about this, just get in touch – ranelaghgaelsmail@gmail.com.

All you need to join in is sports gear and a mouth guard, which are compulsory in all LGFA playing and training activities. These can be picked up cheaply at most pharmacies.
