Player Injury Scheme

The GAA and LGFA operate a player injury schemes, which helps players to meet out of pocket expenses incurred as a result of injuries suffered whilst involved in GAA/LGFA activities (either playing or training).

These schemes are not insurance policies – they WILL NOT cover all expenses. All players and parents of underage players, where possible, should have their own private health insurance to meet medical costs and other expenses as a result of a playing or training injury.

It is important that each of the steps are followed when claiming, as if they aren’t it may render a claim invalid.
